According to Richard Cote of Dearborn, Michigan, this 8mm home video was recorded at a MHRA sanctioned drag race in Lansing, Michigan in 1958. Richard helped Larry Carline build the primered small block Chevy powered 1927 Ford Model T truck with the Paxton supercharger in the movie. Jon Lundberg was an announcer at the event, and in 2016 he told Kustomrama that the race took place at the Central Michigan Dragway in Stanton, Michigan; "The event was not sanctioned by MHRA though many of its members attended. The event was an ATAA Regional held in August, a couple weeks prior to their “World Series” event at Cordova."
