Bud Unger's 1946 Ford Convertible, of Rockville, Maryland was restyled by Bud Unger of Unger Auto Body Company. The build was started in 1950 and completed in 1951. Bud moved to West Palm Beach, Florida in 1956, and brought the Ford along.
Dave Facey's 1939 Ford Coupe of Lakeland, Florida. For years, Dave used to pass by the radical custom on his way to work. It sat in a backyard, and in the early 1980s, he finally decided to stop and check it out. He bought it, and the seller told him that the sectioned and channeled car was built in the Ohio area. Dave eventually sold it to "Big George," who put in a big block Chevy running gear and additional customizations. He named it "The Silver Rose" and showed it for several years.
Yaril Quintana's 1950 Ford Convertible was completed in January 2011.
Fred Rowe's 1951 Mercury Convertible, of Los Angeles, California was restyled by Barris Kustoms. The build was completed in 1953. A second version of the Merc, restyled in 1954 was featured in the movie Running Wild along with Bob Hirohata's 1951 Mercury. In 2009 the Merc was owned by Paul and Robert Milhous, and it was a part of their collection of cars in Boca Raton, Florida.
George Barris' 1955 Chevrolet truck, the Kopper Kart, was built as a promotion vehicle for Barris Kustoms of Lynwood, California. The build was completed in 1957. By 1961 the truck was owned by Paul Blasberg. Later on Paul moved to Florida, and he brought the Kopper Kart along.
Bruce McClellan’s 1956 Chevrolet of Pontiac, Michigan. Bruce bought the Chevy brand new in 1956. George Halpin helped restyle the car, and in 1958 it was ready for a scallop paint job by Paul Hatton. The completed build was shown at the 1959 Detroit Autorama. Bruce sold the car to Ken Johnson of Gingellville in 1959. In 1960, Ken traded it for a fuel-injected 1958 Chevrolet in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Les Mullen's 1956 Chevrolet Corvette of Miami, Florida. Known as "Dominique," Les spent 1,500 hours and 2,500 dollars restyling the car. The build was completed in 1962.
George Barris' 1956 Continental Mark II was restyled by Barris Kustoms in 1956. The Lincoln was George's personal driver, and he owned it for about a year. Brad Clement of Seminole, Florida bought the old custom in 2011.
Yaril Quintana's 1959 Buick Four-Door Hardtop of Hialeah, Florida. Yaril, who runs Yaril's Customs, is planning to have the car all done by the end of September 2013.
Leo Lyons' Ultra Modern Merc of San Bernardino, California. The build was started in 1950, and completed in the Summer of 1959. Leo wanted to do something different. He wanted to build a custom car mostly from scratch. His initial plans called for building 10 identical custom Mercs, but only one, the prototype, was ever built. Geoffrey Hacker and Rick D'Louhy of Tampa, Florida bought the car in 2013 and had it restored.
The Don Morris Special of Racine, Wisconsin. Built over a two year period, the build was completed in 1938. In 2017 the car was located in Florida, owned by Don's grandson.
Pinky's Custom Shop of Miami, Florida. The shop was owned by Charlie Naylor.
Bill Peterson's 1932 Ford Roadster of Portland, Oregon. The roadster was built by Bill and Dee Wescot in 1955. Once completed, the roadster won the 1956 Portland Roadster Show, becoming the first Sweepstakes Winner of the show. Del Clark of DeLand, Florida bought the roadster in 2020.
Dave Facey's 1940 Willys Special of Lakeland, Florida. Facey bought the old Sport Custom from a collector in North Florida in 2021. The collector bought it from someone in Texas 10 years earlier, and rumor has it that it was built in California.
John Corigliano's 1951 Ford Victoria of Boonton, New Jersey. John bought the Ford from Florida early in 2022. It came without any info or history, but according to John, it looks like it was originally done in the late 1950s or the early 1960s, and then later redone.
