Jim Arkin's 1956 Ford Victoria. This was Jim's high school ride, and the car he drove when he was a member of the San Fernando Valley Tyrants car club.
Jim Arkin's 1965 Chevrolet Impala received a full custom paint job by Joe Andersen's Custom Shop and lifts on all four corners by Dick & Ron's in the summer of 1966. By then Jim had become a member of the San Fernando Valley Illusions lowrider club.
Jim Arkin's 1965 Chevrolet Impala as it appeared after Joe Andersen of Joe Andersen's Custom Shop had repainted it black pearl with cobweb in 1967.
After selling his Joe Andersen painted 1965 Chevrolet Impala in 1968, Jim built a 1956 Ford F-100.
Jim bought the Riviera around 1968 - 1969. He fit it with 8 inch Ansen slotted aluminum wheels, and a subtle business men's pinstripe by Larry Watson of Watson's House of Style. The pinstripe consisted of two lines, a half inch apart, that ran the length of the car.

Jim Arkin of Los Angeles, California. Jim grew up in the east San Fernando Valley in Sun Valley. During high school he was a member of the San Fernando Valley Tyrants car club, and he drove a 1956 Ford Victoria. After high school he attended Valley Jr. College where he meet some guys involved with "lowriders". They decided to start the San Fernando Valley Illusions car club.[1] Jim's nickname in the club was AkAk.[2]
