1950 Ford Coupe restyled by Blackie Green of Master Welders in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada . The car was owned by Blackie's wife. In 1956 he sectioned the body 6 inches over the frame. It was nosed, decked, and fit with vertical nerf bars and a custom grille. The front and rear pans were rolled, and the front wheel wells were adjusted. Power came from a Cadillac engine.[1]


In 1958 a two of Blackie's customs appeared in Custom Cars August 1958, in an article about Canadian show customs.


The car passed through several owners until Bruce Smith bought it in 1963. When Bruce bought it, it was just a shell. It had no running gear, no interior, and many parts were missing. The body received an Apricot Fish Metalflake paint job in 1965, and it is said to be the second car in Canada to receive a Metalflake paint job. 24 gallons of clear lacquer and hundreds of hours of hand sanding completed the paint job. A Chevrolet 307 crate engine was installed along with a 400 transmission. To lower the car, the front spindles were reversed and the drag link was dropped. Inside, four custom-made rolled and pleated bucket seats were installed. The dash was modified and fit with Stewart-Warner gauges. The back window was also tinted in 1966.


Roland Hanson bought the car from Bruce and brought it to the United States. Roland had Tom Whittet pain it. In 1996 Renee and Steve Frensko of Chaska, Minnesota bought the old custom. By then the car had been named "Motivation".


Donna Blouch of Lake County, Illinois purchased the old custom in the fall of 2011. In 2014 Donna told Kustomrama that she was immediately impressed with the car and the amazing history. When Donna bought the car, it had supposedly won 60 plus awards from Orgeon to Alberta.
