Randy's Roadster from the article "Hot Rod Heaven" published in Motor Age March 1948. In the article Randy's name is misspelled Rendy.

Channeled 1927 Ford Model T Roadster owned and raced by Randy Shinn. Randy was a member of the Road Runners Car Club. In 1946 Randy won the SCTA Championsip with his Model T Roadster. He totaled 75 points for the season.[2]


In 1948 when Randy's Model T was featured in Motor Age Magazine the car was powered by a 1942 Mercury engine.[3] Randy had installed an aircraft steering wheel. The Class C Roadster Merc engine ran with Edelbrock heads, manifold, ignition and a Winfield cam. Randy managed to get the car up to 136 mph in April 1948.[1]
