1936 Ford owned by Bruce Brown of San Mateo, California. In 1948 a photo of Bruce's Ford was published in Hot Rod Magazine September 1948. By then the body had been channeled and fit with full fadeaway fenders. It ran 1937 DeSoto ripple bumpers, 1940 Ford headlights and a custom made grille. Under the hood lurked a 1941 Ford mill that had received a H&C Cam. According to the caption, the car had been clocked 106.12 mph at a SCTA sanctioned event.[1]
