Dennis bought the ex Joe Hurst's 1958 Chevrolet Impala in 1967. This was his second 1958 Chevrolet Impala, and his favorite car to this day.
After building hot boats for about 25 years, Dennis figured out it was about time to build another car. Having had three different 1956 Chevrolets back in the 1960s, a 1956 Chevrolet was a natural choice for Dennis. This one took 5 years to build. Photo courtesy of Dennis McKee.

Dennis McKee of Torrance, California has been into customized and modified cars and boats most of his life. It started with a mildly customized 1958 Chevrolet Impala in 1962, at age 16. After that, he had three different 1956 Chevrolets during the 1960s. In the 1970s, Dennis started building hot boats instead of hot cars. In the 1990s, after building hot boats for 25 years, he figured it was about time to build another car, and he decided to go for another 1956 Chevrolet. The build took 5 years to complete.
