1954 Ford restyled by Jack Purdy of Lakewood, Ohio. This was Jack's first attempt in customizing, he sent a picture of it to Custom Cars Magazine requesting them to show it in their magazine. Jack nosed and decked the body to achieve a cleaner appearance. The stock taillights were swapped in favor of 1954 Oldsmobile units. He managed to get hold of a 1953 DeSoto grille which he installed. Not just the grille bars, but the entire grille including its parking lights. The hubcaps were stock Ford with Oldsmobile accessory bars bolted on. The engine was kept stock, however it featured dual point ignition and dual exhaust. He was planning to modify the engine in the future. All work was done by Jack in his spare time.[1]
