Compton Squires Car Club

The Squires was a car club out of Compton, California. The Elk's Lodge Number 1570, 116 N. Rose Ave. in Compton was sponsor of the club providing them with a place to meet and money. The Elk's Lodge borrowed out their own hall. Dr. Talbot Delgado was their advisor, and even flew an airplane bearing the Squires plaque. When Dr. Delgado couldn't make it to the meetings, another member of the Elks attended. Their meetings were in 1957 held every thursday night at 8:00 p.m.[1]
