1959 Chevrolet Corvette owned and restyled by Leonard T Menard of Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Leonard's Corvette was shown at the 1960 Hartford Autorama, by then the bumpers had been removed and rolled, and 1958 Chevrolet headlights and 1955 Chevrolet taillights had been installed. It featured molded in exhaust along the rockers and a panel and flame paint job. It had electric doors, and rolled on chromed wheels. The rear wheels were reversed, and the brake drums were chromed as well. Power came from a modified 280 hp engine. According to the caption in the souvenir pictorial from the show, the car had won 9 awards in 6 shows, including the World Fair Auto Show.[1]
