Robert Accosta's 1933 Ford
1933 Ford Sedan owned by Oakland Heaven Pacers member Robert Accosta of Oakland, California. The car was dropped up front by using a 1 1/2 dropped Dago axle. 1940 Oldsmobile bumpers were installed with fiberglass gravel pans over the bumper brackets. Hidden turning lights were installed in the horns, to appear stock. The car was powered by a precision built engine by Joe Clement, it could do 0 to 60 mph in 7.75 seconds! 1940 Ford hydraulic brakes managed to stop the hopped up Ford. The transmission was fit with Zephyr gears. The interior was done in black and red Naugahyde with a 1940 Ford steering column. The car was painted black and fitted with 1953 Studebaker hubcaps.[2]
