The Chipmunks Car Club of Lake Arrowhead, California

The Chipmunks was a car club out of Lake Arrowhead, California. The club was started in the 1950s. Most of the members in the club came from East Los Angeles, but due to the rivalry between the clubs in the area they decided to form the club at Lake Arrowhead instead. Bruce Geisler, one of the founding members, had a family cabin at Lake Arrowhead, so they decided to form the club there so no one would bother them. At Lake Arrowhead there was a lot of chipmunks, so they decided to call the club the Chipmunks too. The club had around 30 or 35 members.[1]

The Chipmunks plaques were designed by Bruce Geisler.
