Ed Roth's Road Agent served as inspiration for Colin's Agent Thor. The name Thor is an anagram of Roth, and the show rod is built the proper Ed Roth way with plaster and vermiculite "spitwads" that Colin fiberglass.

Colin completed the build on the 18th of June 2019. Finished it off with a Lil Daddy Roth Ruined Retina Red paint job, the front wheels were narrowed to 3" wide before Colin fitted them with front tires that he sanded the names off. Photo courtesy of Colin Hillier-Daines.

Agent Thor is a bubble top tribute to Ed Roth's Road Agent built by Colin Hillier-Daines of Weston-Super-Mare, UK. The name Thor is an anagram of Roth, and the show rod is built the proper Ed Roth way with plaster and vermiculite "spitwads" that Colin fiberglassed.

Based on a 1971 VW Beetle floorplan, Agent Thor features a 1600cc engine and friction front shocks. Colin finished it off with a Lil Daddy Roth Ruined Retina Red Metalflake paint job, his first paint job. The front wheels were narrowed to 3" wide before Colin fitted them with front tires that he sanded the names off. The build was started on the 18th of March 2018 and completed on the 18th of June 2019.

Early in February of 2020, Colin sold the car to a Kit Car collection in Holland. "It was great fun to drive," Colin told Sondre Kvipt of Kustomrama in 2020, "so many looks as you pass by." Totally addicted to fiberglass fumes, Colin was working on another bubble top build in July of 2020.
