1957 Ford Convertible owned by Fred Altschuler of West Haven, Connecticut. Fred modernized the front by using 1958 Ford fenders and headlights. The grille consisted of a 1956 Plymouth grille bar that was modified by adding 1954 Chevrolet teeth to. The hood was nosed, rounded and louvered. Fred removed the door handles and trunk handle. Air scoops were grafted on the doors, extending the fins to fade away on the doors. Air scoops were installed on the front fenders as well. The quarter panel wings tips were peaked and the taillights were tunneled and frenched. The rear bumper was removed and the rear pan was rolled and fit with bumperettes. A ridge on the deck lid was made by built-up metal, leading down to the license plate. 1956 Buick side trim was attached along with lakes pipes and dual spotlights. The body was painted Tropical Mist.[1]
