1953 Mercury restyled by Cammarano of Los Angeles for Harry Cruse of California. Harry's clean looking Merc was built before the 1954 Mercury appeared and startled the public with its nice appearance. The door handles were shaved, the deck lid was filled and the trim surrounding the scoop on the hood was molded to the hood. The center emblem and letters on the hood was flushed as well. The center section of the bumper was cut out and a 1953 Lincoln center was installed. The car was further Lincolnized by reworking the rear fenders to accept a set of 1953 Lincoln taillights. The quarter rear panels were shaved for unnecessary trim. The body was painted bronze while the top was done in Lime Gold. Dual spotlights and 1953 Cadillac Sombreros wrapped up the style.[1]
