Janne Adolfsson from Örebro in Sweden has owned this beautiful 3-window coupe since the early 1970s!

The car could be called a "Soft Rod" as it has been very lightly modified over the years.
But the car was a real wreck when Janne found it. He didn't know how to weld or repair metal body but learned by himself during the restoration.
The bodywork was so extense he almost gave up the work and Jan does not recommend someone else to take this work.

The frame was also really bad so he used another from 37-39 Ford meaning the body mounts in rear had to be changed.

As regulations didn't allow much change, Jan decided to keep a flathead engine, using a 59A 100 hp from 46-48 Ford.
The gearbox is from 1939 with 1946 gears and the rear end from 1939. Hydraulic brakes from 1946 on all wheels.

The car was finally approved in 1973!
It shows a real quality work in every detail and a good finish. It was used on long holiday trips and worked without any problem.

Jan calculated the amount of work hours and got it to 1500 hours and around 8.000 SEK cost totally.

Over the years the car has been gradually updated. It was re-painted black in the 1980s.

Jan still owns the car after over 50 years and it is used occasionally on car meetings.
