Roger Miret

Roger Miret's 1954 Chevrolet 210. Known as "Morphine," the build was started in 2010 and completed in 2018. Roger is a founder of the Rumblers car club.

Roger Miret of Scottsdale, Arizona. Roger is the founder of the Rumblers car club. His name is synonymous with the words Hardcore and Punk, and his efforts with the band Agnostic Front helped spearhead the New York hardcore movement in the early 1980s.

Roger moved to the US from Cuba as a young boy. In addition to the music, Roger has been working as a motorcycle mechanic. In the 1990s he saw a gap on the East Coast within the hot rod and custom car scene, so he decided to form the Rumblers car club in 1996. Roger's purpose with the club was to breathe life into a dying hot rod scene that was recovering from the severe wounds of the late 1980s.

Back then he drove a 1932 Ford Coupe. Later he would also buy a 1954 Chevrolet. "I always liked the look of the '54's," he told Hop Up Magazine. "It was lowered and I had some performance parts under the hood, but this was New York and parking was always impossible and all that. You had to be realistic about it. How far you wen with your car. You know, if the car stands out too much I'll get stolen."

Roger would eventually relocate to the Phoenix area, bringing the 1932 Ford Coupe along. "I only had a single car garage at the time. So I pulled all the parts I liked off the '54, and sold it, knowing I would get another one out here."
