1956 Ford Crown Victoria owned by Steve Stevens, son of Brooks Stevens. Steve told later owner Myron Vernis that the car was a father-son project. It ran a 430 Lincoln engine with a Latham Supercharger, a four-speed transmission, and Dunlop disc brakes all around. Brooks sourced a new Mercedes 300S interior for the car by calling Mercedes Benz in Germany. He called Jaguar for the Dunlop disc brakes, and he talked to Ed Cole about a Corvette four-speed. The actual work was done by Ray Besasie, who was doing Brooks’ race car work at the time. Myron believes the build was completed in 1959.[4]
