Sverker Ekström from Örebro purchased this standard coupe in mid-60s. It was in fair shape except for a broken engine and gearbox.
A good reason for building a Hot Rod in other words!
The car was equipped with a 1953 Ford flathead and 1939 transmission using an own-made adapter. The front end came from a 1947 Ford including hydraulic brakes and a slightly more drop.
The body got some small rust fixing and was painted in turquoise metallic.

Sverker ran it for a couple of years, then swapped the engine to a 289 ci Mustang. He succeeded to get a certificate from Ford that the frame could take this power increase, so he managed to get it approved by SBP.

After some time, the stock transmission broke, so Sverker took the full driveline from Mustang including 3-speed gearbox and rear end.

Sverker kept the car for many years, but sold it 1993 to Håkan Pettersson in Örebro.
