1955 Ford F-100 restyled by Steve Stevens of Smithfield, North Carolina for Vartan Davidian, a student at the University of North Carolina. All of the excess chrome was removed, and the tailgate was panelled and featured a set of 1954 Ford taillights. Vartan's truck featured a quad exhaust system. Up front, a 1955 Chevrolet passanger grille was installed, along with a set of 1954 Buick headlight rings. Dual spotlights were mounted in the top of the A-pillars. The truck was also fit with fender skirts and Oldsmobile Fiesta hubcaps. The interior was reupholstered in black and white Naugahyde, and a passenger-car 1955 Ford dash was installed. The ported and relieved V8 mill was equipped with three Stromberg carburetors, electric fuel pump, and an Offenhauser intake manifold. The ignition was a Mallory unit. A three quarter race cam was installed as well.[1]
