Buzz Pitzen
Buzz Pitzen of Los Angeles, California. Buzz was a member of the Challenger of Los Angeles car club. Around 1954 he started to build his first hot rod, a 1929 Ford Model A roadster. At the time he had a 1949 Chevrolet Fleetline that was nosed and decked. The taillights on the Chevrolet were also removed and replaced with small bike lights. Other modifications included a Naugahyde intertior, a two-carb intake and a Howard cam. The hot rod was completed in 1959. Shortly after he had completed it, he sold it to Barons of Westchester member John Rasmussen of Westchester, California. Buzz sold the roadster so he could buy his first home in Redondo Beach, California. After selling the Model A, Buzz started to build a fiberglass bodied 1923 Ford Model T Roadster.[1]
