Doug Rice of Aberdeen, Washington, born in 1930, was a member of the Grays Harbor Clusters car club. Doug began to restyle a 1939 Ford Coupe on Hawaii while he was drafted in the Navy. After four years in the service, the coupe was shipped from Pearl Harbor to Aberdeen where Doug continued to restyle the car.[1]

After working with cars for a while, Doug began restoring horse drawn vehicles, buggies, wagons and sleighs. In 2012 Doug had 35 rigs on display on his 80 acre ranch in Montesano, Washington.
