Robert Martinez' 1953 Cadillac

1953 Cadillac Coupe DeVille owned and restyled by Robert Martinez of San Diego, California. Robert's Cadillac was painted Gold with Black scallops. It featured later Cadillac headlights, and taillights that were reshaped to house early Chrysler taillights.[1]

Roger Honey used to hang out at Styler's Custom Shop when Robert worked there. When Roger got his learners permit at age 15, one of his buddies dropped his 1953 Oldsmobile off at Robert's new shop to have it nosed, decked and shaved for handles; "This was a shop Robert had in San Diego after he went out on his own. Robert told my friend that they could use his custom 53 Cadillac Coupe DeVille for the day while he was working on the Olds. Needless to say, we were in hog heaven and were cruising for chicks. We thought we were hot shit."[1]
